Supercell, you think any of the showers might make it to Waterford?

There was just a small shower of the blink-and-you'ld-miss it variety in Donaghmede - I'm guesing we just got the edge of whatever went by there!

    In Mulhuddart.
Just had a look out and theres a big white cloud about a mile+ to the east of me, probably over Ashtown / Halfway house area.
Nothing heading my way that I can see.
I see the one you're talking about...
It's not quite over us, and absolutely nothing falling on us!

Shower activity looks to be picking up in parts of Laois and Tipperary.

Just put a beer outside. Took 2 mins to get cold.
However, i'm in stockholm and it's -20 degrees!
Went out in my hoodie to experience it, not that bad tbh, just lips crack quickly.

Just beside you in Firhouse, ner a sign of a flake here yet...

Im facing the Dublin Mountains Darragh and get the feeling the small bit that is falling is coming from Brittas-Blessington direction. Flakes are few and far between but still hanging in there.

This stuff isnt really going to kick off until after midnight and is already building nicely on the radar charts..it bodes well for snow fans in Dublin/Wicklow/Wexford imho

Snow over Nutgrove, Rathfarnham, 20 minutes ago. Large wet flakes, looked like it might start to stick if it fell long enough, but I wasn't there long enough.

I'm right beside Nutgrove and only saw the absolute smallest of snow flakes. These showers must be the most localised showers there's ever been.

Where's this from Hotwhiskey and when's it for? I see 21:30 there but is that tonight? If so I hasn't shown up yet - I'm about 20 miles west of Derry in Donegal and we've had a hail shower about an hour ago only.

    it was for 9.30 tonight

snow flakes in Firhouse! let the heavens open

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 187 ✭✭ffarrell

Everytime I look at the window on to the street (Castleknock, Dublin West) which is well light u,p I think it has just been snowing because the place is white everywhere with approx 5 cm of lying snow and ice (snowfall from last night included) and nothing at all has thawed. Still cloudy but no precipitation yet.:D

  • Registered Users Posts: 95 ✭✭zidewayz

Just had the smallest of all fluries there. Clouding up but nothing major.

I think it's more of an opinion at this stage to me it looks 99% sure for a good bit of the south east anyway unless something goes drastically wrong!
