There should be snow along much of the East coast barring a disaster, a few cm's coverage likely.

It will take its time to get there but i'd say you have a decent chance.

Heavy snow being reported at Belfast Harbour at 1120 and snow showers at Aldergrove. DPs are all looking good at Belfast, IOM and M2 bouy.

I think we're getting close to a dumping (or as close as we can get! :o).

Some heavy cloud slowly starting to come in over Blackrock. Can still see a lot of blue sky too.

    Great comment on Talk Radio:

"in the UK the old folks have been told to put the heating up and don't worry about the heating bill too much as there will be assistance given... In Ireland the old folks are told, lower the heating to a sensible level, wear plenty of layers and keep moving...."

    Gotta laugh!!

Its getting very interesting now! Cirrus is now appearing and its coming from the east, the low clouds are still approaching from a NNE direction. The sky over the Irish Sea is now turning very dark!

It's done a gret job that snow shield! 3 dustings so far in this cold spell. It's incredible that the little we got on New Year's Eve is actually still on the ground, but we've not had more (aside from a small dusting on Sunday night I think).

How can it rain so much but when it's been freezing or under for basically 2 weeks, we get no snow?

Snow slightly thicker now in Leixlip, but Blue skies directly above me, don't know where its coming from :)

    Enjoy it!

Cloud is slowly trying to make a move in here.

Takes a while for it to actually get in.
