ok I have to drive from Kiklenny to to Dundalk later, is it worth the risk, or should I cancel? please advise?

From what I can see here on this thread, I'd avoid counties Wicklow and Wexford. The weather conditions on the M1 are fine from the latest I heard. There could be some snowfall along it, especially in the co. Dublin part but once the airport isn't shut, the motorway nearby is usually fine for driving. Take it easy if you do drive, and keep the radio on for updates.

Graupel here, tyring to stick but not doing much better than the snow:p bringing the temp back though, now down to 2.1C/0.1C

Snow virtually stopped here and all its achieving is melting any other lying snow.

Enjoy your snow which will pretty much plaster everywhere along the east coast apart from a 10 mile stretch which im in.

Snowing heavily in terenure at the moment.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I am getting ready for an amazingly unfortunate situation for here to develop.

First streamer died quite alot over me,

then its gonna push to far west and trail.

The other band is gonna trail to far south and bingo un journee typique.

WC, you should do what I did after years of being snow starved - got a place where the snow comes to me!

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

That's a serious streamer developing everyone... Really intensifying - already ahead of Hirlam predictions..

It's also moving quite well inland!

`~Skies clear from my vantage point in KK
Didn't think we'd get anything in Dub when I left this morning
Will be interested to see if this actually sticks..... I've to get back home this evening and don't want a repeat of last Feb when I got from KK to CityWest in 75 min and then it took 120 min to get from CityWest to D16....:(

If there's a massive aerial on top its leinster.
If its very bland and perfectly rounded its blackstairs.

Too distant to see details without binoculars, all we can see are snow caps! Actaully clouded over horizon now :)
