I measured 20cm in a wide open field with no drifting about 30 mins or so, probably a few more since, its really coming down.

it's not snow really in dublin cc, it's more like messy hail, but it's staying on ground for time being. Was fun watching cars slide around on the quays! Traffic heavy now.

looking out the window from work in sandyford across dublin bay and the large grey cloud has passed us by. no more snow coming down and i can see out to sea that there are no more grey clouds on the horizon.

Just back from an adventurous drive into Wicklow town, anyone living in the Rathdrum-Aughrim and surrounding area I would advise staying at home, if you were mad enough to leave for work this morning, I'd advise you to book a hotel or stay with friends.... You will not get passed Glenealy railway bridge.. I'd be very surprised if a 4X4 could get passed later this evening...

I reckon there will be close to 30cm by the time this is done (probably about 30 mins or so if its tapering off now in Bray and Greystones)

Hail stopped 10 mins ago in D13, atleast 1/2 cm deep, and not melting, more dark clouds closing in!!!

Starting to snow very heavily again in Dublin West (Castleknock). 7 cm at least has fallen perhaps more which gives us here an overall covering of about 10/11 centimetres with thick eyes mixed in and underneath. Just I am typing this there is a blizzard outside mixture of snow snow and graupel!!!!:D:D Glad you have gotten a few falkes in Waterford. Maybe Cork may get a little also.:D:D:D:D

Its nice snow here, not many flakes but they are nice dry flakes, not wet snow at all. Hopefully just the start and we'll see some proper stuff coming later.
