about 40 minutes of snizzle flurries now not really amounting to anything extra on the snow we've had over past week. The initial part of todays snow brought about an extra quater to half a cm. I think were at the end of the snow band now and the Irish sea looks totally clear from here on for the moment.

U are not too far the road from me (Castleknock) and we got a hammering, in excess of 7 centimetres and we now have a BLIZZARD as I type!!!!!!, much more than city centre or north Dublin.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Please note Murphdog, your photos are not disgusting in any way whatsoever.

Just the way the thread page has ended up by the size of the photos.

On image shack you can resize them to fit perfectly into message boards/forums hence why I advised to use this service but obviously I've been shot down with my advice by others for whom this method doesnt suit.

Seems to have been very localised in terms of sticking.

If I don't hear anything by 5 o'clock, then I'll take it that both will be open. Would be very surprised if it were to be the case mind you.

Generally if the principal can make it to the school they declare it open.. But they are asking them to go to school & make that decision today rather than people making the dangerous journey there tomo to find its closed. Thats why so many of them have decided to stay shut till monday... Ice & - temps expected so its hardly going to be any better in the morning.

Like waiting for the lotto numbers to come in now waiting for your school to be listed........

Come on Loreto & St Fergals lol

yeah its kinda sickening the difference a few miles can make!

blue skies coming here now sun should be out in afew minutes.

however our snow depth is not bad considering the last four falls has not melted, almost 2 inchs on the ground from the past week.

I wasn't asking for an apology Murphdog nor did I have an issue with your posting of the photos, they are cool.

Was just referring to someone else who said that my advice wasn't right and to follow theirs cause it suited them.

    All is good :)
