    Hi,
Was just wondering can someone point me in the right way.
I want to mod a ps2 but not use a mod chip can this be done and can you do more with a mod chip.

Plus what can you do with a modded ps2 about from imports and the sort

    Thanks for all the help

The best way to go about modding the ps2 is to use FreeMcBoot. It installs onto a memorycard and will allow you to play backups/emulators/imports. Modchips are not necessary in my opinion.

You will need something like swapmagic to install it in the first place but its pretty easy to do. The site should have all the info you need.

I would also recommend getting a network adaptor and hard-drive (assuming you have a phat ps2)
