Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wireless question on Xbox Live

So I just got set up with Xbox Live last week, and have been connecting via my ethernet cable from my cable modem, the broadband I have is through NTL/UPC.

So I've priced the wireless adaptor, and can get it on sale in Game at €65.

But is that all I need? Will this pick up the signal from my wired cable modem, and I can bring it back downstairs to the proper tv!?

    Thanks:)

No. You would also need to have a wireless router to broadcast the wireless signal then the Xbox wireless card picks it up.

Also, shop around for the Wireless adaptor - with the new Wireless N Adaptor for XBox(faster if you have a compatible router), the older one should be coming down in price if you don't need the super-dooper new one.

Just a tip - we can all do with saving a bit of money in January, eh? :)

    Thanks for the heads up:)

Currently I've found the newer adaptor (black with two antenna?) in Game for €65. All others I've seemed to find are €80 everywhere, that's without going to China for one on Ebay which I'm scepticle about.

I know Harvey Normans were doing half price on all xbox accessories, so you might pick up your adaptor in there.

You need to have a N type router for it.
