Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

might have been an automatic windows update and its incompatable with some hardware on your machine.
i would try in safe mode going into the system devices and see if any of the devices have errors on them.
you could consider doing a system restore to before it crashed (if system restore is enabled... or even available in vista)

Sounds like what happened me two weeks ago with XP, black wall of death, I went into Safe mode>system restore and that sorted it out, discovered later it was a windows update that caused it, so now I only apply windows updates about a week after getting them.

did you figure this out ?

    log into safe mode
take a backup of all the files you can/want
start system restore, start all programs, accessories, system tools(i think), system restore.
pick a date that available to be restored.

check out google if you need more precise results...

I wonder if you try to do another system restore from safe mode might it fix it up *ponders*
