I didn't get mine yet either. Although the bank rang yesterday wondering if I was going to transfer the money into the loan account soon. They said that a lot of people had received it already. I found them very rude and pushy to be honest. They told me that I should be following it up. I reminded them that I signed a form of theirs which allowed the Department to pay my grant directly to them and that I got a letter of guarantee from the Dep. for them when I negotiated the loan with them. So as far as I'm concerned, its their baby. The Dep. owes them, not me. The guy on the phone changed his tune fairly lively.

One resolution for the new year is to change Bank.

They seem to be paying more or less in the order in which the original payments were made, the first are still first and the last still last!!

Just as an aside, what banks are you talking about? Not necessarily the branch but the organisation? I wonder is it a new year's policy to get stroppy with customers, I've had hassle from BOI along similar lines, a letter saying previous overdraft agreements etc. no longer applied and to transfer funds to the account immediately. I wonder where they expect it to come from. I'm waiting for payment from customers for last year's work, and they in turn are waiting for REPS payments and the like. All very distasteful, particularly in the current economic climate.

bank of ireland seem to have a bad attitude to dealing with these loans .
i got my fwms payment two weeks ago and two days later woman from boi was ringing looking fo payment on the loan and its not due until the end of the month.

I have also found boi unhelpful over the last year
I dont see why they are not helping out farmers over a bad year when they clearly have assets to cover their loans
    Anyone know any helpful banks:rolleyes:

I had no problem with BOI, got my money on the 19th, had to ring the bank to tell them to take it out - did it today and looking at my account it's still there.
