Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    1.9 is crap alright.
    It's such a shame alright that Mazda ballsed up the interior of the new 6. They need to pull out the stops next time round. Still though, in terms of driving dynamics the Mazda is a league ahead. As you said though, it's all about priorities! Handling is my number one, interior is a good bit down on my list!

    Anyone driven both the 2.0 TDI 140bhp & the 2.0 TDI 170bhp?
    Just wondering if 140 is enough or do you need the 170?

    I can't imagine 105bhp being up to the job.

    Driven 2 x 170 and 1 x 1.9 - no 140's yet!

    The 1.9 wasn't as bad a I thought. With the right gearing, any engine will work up to a point - the 1.6D Volvo S80 is surprisingly quick off the mark.

    105 bhp is the road tax efficient model, should be fine

    I had 2 test drives of the Greenline and thought the same. In fact i'm considering getting one now seeing as i have a car that qualifies for the scrappage scheme. Also had a test of a 2.0 TDI 170BHP DSG Elegance. Lovely car and drive, plenty of poke. Pity i dont have that kind of cash...
    A mate who has an automatic 525d BMW was with me and the sales guy and was very impressed with the 2.0 Auto Elegance. He also though that 1.9 of the Greenline was fine (but not impressive)

    Only if it's the Greenline, which screams poverty Irish spec with it's plastic wheel trims(even though it has everything you need as standard), all other 1.9s are €302 for road tax the same as the 2.0s are. With that in mind the only reason I can think of going for the Greenline is if you wanted to scrap your old car and avail of the scrappage scheme.

    Was in one the other day, I had heard it was good but it was a brilliant car, anyone who is buying a car that size should be marched to their Skoda dealer and made drive it but all the Irish will buy their poverty spec Toyota Avensis because Irish people in general know nothing about cars and have a fetish for anything with a Toyota badge on the bonnet:rolleyes:.
