The Bret/Jericho meeting and the DX match was on during these 2 quarters.

rumour has it that HHH, who is a powerful member of the creative team, did not want Vince doing this Bret angle.

so much so, that it's rumoured Vince went over his head to make this happen (which he's obviously more than entitled to do as owner).

if this is all true, i'm sure HHH would love the whole Bret thing to fail miserably.

TNA President Dixie Carter tweeted the following in regard to the TNA Impact rating:
"Thank you, thank you for helping TNA set RECORD ratings in every way last night. We ALL won."

I think this could work for TNA and all Wrestling fans might benefit from.

The WWE could have to streamline its brands..Something it should have done years ago.

Raw maybe to become its 18-35 show centered around guys like Edge, orton, jericho to name a few

And smackdown to become the PG show centred around Cena, Mysterio, Undetaker to name a few as well.

TNA will have its mix of Styles, Angle and other technical wrestlers along with its xdivision coupled with the Hogan, NWO, Bischoff effect.

not for maby another year and a half at the earliers though, unless tna strike gold with some storyline that the american public want to tune in for.

    3.3 is poor.

This is getting very very interesting.

Credit where credit is due, well done TNA.Im seriously happy that it worked out well for them in terms of ratings away.
    I wholeheartedly agree with Vince:
    1. WWE could have done a whole lot more for Brets confrontation with Shawn/Vince.I like the suggestion of airing clips from wrestling with shadows and even more clips from Confidential to add fuel to the fire.It would have had every viewer sitting on the edge of their couch.
2.Just to re-iterate what Vince said,a 3 hour show was way too long for TNA last night. They probably would have had to contend with less ads and would have saved a bit of money if they opted for the regular 2 hours.I guess part of the reasoning behind the 3 hours was to last the duration of RAW and not lose any viewers to Vince.

Am I the only one that thinks that WWE underestimated TNA last night and were sort of cocky with airing a regular RAW+Bret rather than Bret Hart RETURNING to RAW show!?!?

Edit:speaking about rating, does anyone have the ratings for the pw forum for yesterday:p!?!?!The place was on fire!!

As i said in one of the other threads i do think it was a step up in a big way for TNA but the fact that they didnt really advertise when they normally air was a big mistake imo. How much of these new viewers will they be able to take back with them to Thursday nights? and if they dont keep some of them will a 2nd monday show garner as much attension and therefore free promotion (even if just through word of mouth)?

What is the deal with TNA's roster size now too? isnt it massive and in a serious need of trimming? there cant be too many new signings and therefore as many anything can happen next moments from now on (considering there were so many on monday) until this is addressed surely.

I havent collated all the data yet but i believe this place did a 4.0 yesterday, The boards best since we started keeping ratings :)

What i dont understand is why they're repeating Mondays Impact this Thursday. Instead of giving us something new, because know its basically 10 days till the next, new episode of Impact, and with spoilers and whatnot people now know the outcome of certain things from last night, what a wasted opportunity.

There is apparently a massive football game in America on at the same time. Maybe they should have aired a new show anyway but apparently that's the reason.

All I can say is wow. I'm in shock:eek::eek: A 1.5 rating is huge for TNA.

    From PWInsider.com

The 1/4 edition of Raw did a 3.6 rating, which is the same number that they did last week. The show did hours of 3.51 and 3.73. Hour one did 5,441,000 viewers while hour two did 5,773,000. They averaged 5,600,000 for the broadcast.
As Mike mentioned yesterday, the 1/4 Impact did a 1.5 rating. The opening hour did a 1.69 and 2,536,000 million viewers, while the the two hour block against WWE did a 1.33 in the second two hours and 2,034,00 viewers. The five minute overrun did a 1.26. They averaged 2,200,000 viewers, which is just awesome.

Imo, the Raw rating should be way higher. A 3.6 when Bret Hart returns after a 12 year absense?! Fair play to TNA on this. They got a great rating and a good few viewers from WWE

WWE will probably see this rating, and blame it there being no Cena:pac:

great number 1.5 is for tna but it will mean nothing next thursday if they go back to there regular 1.0 rating or lower

TNA and WWE would both most likely have had higher ratings if the Fiesta Bowl wasn't taking place is my guess. Don't think WWE would be too worried about it. I'd expect their recap shows will do better than normal this week

Am I the only one disappointed by both shows in terms of content?...I think TNA had an excellent platform and failed to make the most out of it..just my opinion.
