With google chrome now supporting extensions I decided to have a go, and drawing inspiration from Hobbes' PM Monitor (by 'drawing inspiration' I mean I flat out stole the idea), I've made a simple proof-of-concept.

Before I polish it up into something properly useable, I just wanted to run it by here, to see if I need approval or anything or should I just go ahead? Also, I grabbed the url for the JSON feed from Hobbes' thread http://developer.boards.ie/api/inbox/json/?version=3.0.2008.06.30, is this ok to go ahead and use? (when finished I would intend to have the extension make a call every 3-5 minutes, maybe every 1 minute max).

    Thanks,
    Steve.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
