Warranty Question

Say if i was to buy a second hand car across the water in England from a franchised dealer, say a one year old Avensis.

Where if i bought the car here, the warranty is for 3 years or 100,000KM. Would the warranty for the English cars still be valid here?

    Thanks.

I read the title and thought you were wondering if there's any warranty left on your Carina :D

The warranty is valid in all EU countries, but with certain manufacturers the last year of the warranty is dealer, not manufacturer warranted. Not sure about Toyota. Are you going to buy a brand new Avensis? Financial suicide for a taxi driver imo. Lovely car though. Oh yes, and if you're driving it as a taxi a 100,000km will be barely 18 months.

Nah just mulling over the options, i'm as likely to by a ex-garda car from the auctions as i am to buy a new avensis.

As for the Carina, my little warhorse is still knocking out the miles with out a problem!! :)

As much as i would like to stay in the mid 90's with my beloved Carina i have to be dragged kicking and screaming into a Avensis and the 00's.

    Dear Mr.Toyota,
Please make me a brand new Avensis, except, make it look like a Carina, drive like a Carina, feel like a Carina and have the same parts as my Carina. Thank you graciously.

    VolvoBoy (No affiliation, I swear).

    It'll work, I promise!
