This is seriously one for any of you guys into Longboards.
I just came across these the other day and have been amazed since the first video I watched.

Longboarding meets snowboarding really, just taking it to the streets.
Soon as I get some money, I am getting one of these.
There's actually one on Adverts right now... But I'm poor.

It's the rubber the wheels are made of, I guess. Much different from normal wheels.

That and that crazy speeds. They're going 30mph+. Scary/fun stuff. haha

how much was the board for sale on adverts?

Never you mind, I want it!!:D
    Haha

    I think it's going for €100.

Turns out these boards have three wheels on each truck, a center one pivots allowing you to slid, like you would on a snowboard.
    Seriously want to get one.

    Different boards.
The freeboard has 6 wheels, an extra wheel in the center of each truck on a pivet that allows you to lean back and continue to roll even with the board facing across the road.
This also allows you to move like a snowboard does on a snowy slope.
    It has feet harness' too.

    Pretty much the idea.
I'd seriously love to grab a freeboard and drag it up the Wicklow mountains.

Phoenix park is ment to be pretty nice for just cruising.
There's also some hills and the likes around there.

If you want to go for some downhill speed, head for the mountains.

Well as with everything irish the paths and some of the roads in the Pheonix park are all broken up pot holes everywhere.. hit one one day and i kept going while the board dug in..

I have a Freebord, the problem is finding a smooth inclined surface to use it on. There is no sliding involved, you 'carve' by having the middle wheels and the wheels on one side of the board in contact with the ground - the middle wheels are swivel mounted so they will swivel around to whatever angle is required.

Anybody suggest any good spots for using one in Dublin?
