So I'm running on the new Ubuntu distribution, I have and Nvidia GeForce GT 220 with the recommended driver(version 185) I'm still stuck with 800x600 resolution when I have a 22" screen that can handle 1920x1080 (DELL ST2310) using a D-Sub connection. Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem. I'm sick of these giant…

U should be able to use the 190.53 Certified.

Im right in thinking that is linux ?

So I think the only way to do this is manually, just in case anyone else has this problem in the future.

sudo vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Change the resolution here.
