    3 is a very small number for this time of year. Around here it's flocks of 30+.
    I always love to here them on a bright still day like this.

    Think I saw 2 waxwings at the stepped area of land at the Sallins roundabout about 2 hours ago. Couldn't rubber neck too much.

    edit: - perhaps they were Fieldfares... more grey than anything

    I love the sound of curlews, very plaintive .. reminds me of the Yorkshire Dales in northern England, where you get quite a few of them.
