Best Cappuccino/Coffee in the city?

Anybody have any recommendations? I am sick of asking for a cappuccino in places and getting crap served in a large mug which is basically instant coffee topped off with whipped cream. That is not a cappuccino and tastes rotten. BB's and Gloria Jeans Coffee are guilty of this.

I know the Bagel Factory do it properly alight but was just wondering where else I could try.

Love the coffee in French's Cafe on the corner of Roches St/Catherine St. Nice staff as well - you get every 6th cup free, and they will give you an extra shot for free too :) I go there nearly every morning for my daily fix.
Hate the muck they serve up in BBs.

Coffee in Aubars on Thomas St. is excellent as it is in Melt on Little Catherine St. plus lovely hot chocolate. I HATE cappuccino, but the wife loves it.

Saw in the irish independent last saturday magazine, Best coffee in Ireland goes to Ponaire - Annacotty.. Limerick (never been there, but sounds good) If anyone lives out that direction let me know if its worth the trip.
http://www.ponaire.ie, can't find link for magazine article. But they roast there own coffee beans too.

Have look on website lots of good things said about it,

Posted this caused I never even knew it existed..

Also bargain coffee in Limerick Mint Cafe - beside Fitzgeralds Electrical shop henry street, (Think they changed name recently) all coffee 2 euro.. not bad for a large cappuccino. Tastes good too..

No association with either coffee shop just want to support some local business.

This is an old thread but just wanted to put in a mention for Quigley's at the top of Cruises Street - really wonderful strong coffee there and it's not a place you would automaticallly think of as a coffee place as it's a nice old fashioned bakery but I think it's the best in Limerick for good coffee - strong and a great flavour. There's nothing worse than coffee you can see into because it's so weak. Arabica is also really good but it's not as cosy as Quigleys.

Overpriced compared to other cafes on campus.
