Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Last call for pacers! We have a great team of pacers in place for the Dublin Marathon, but could use a few more at specific time bands. If you think you could pace a band at 3:00, 3:30, or 3:45; drop me a PM and we'll take it from there. Pacers get free entry, kit, €50 expenses, use of shower after, and that warm fuzzy glow at the end, when your pacees shower you with gratitude and affection:)

Here's the info, all slots filled. I'm locking this thread in case any "good suggestions" crop up at this late stage, the pacers discuss tactics off-forum.

Bottom line, look for the big balloons with correct time at the start, stick with the pacers group in the race, and you'll hit your mark. Best of luck, and general questions, post the on the DM event thread.

Below is the final list of the Dublin Marathon pacers.

3:00 (Having previously ran sub 2:48)

    Balloons and Signs
The very large balloons from last years marathon will be used again for this one. In conjunction, there will a couple of hand-held signs denoting the pace group.

    Pace
Pacers will be hitting the correct splits for each mile marker during the course.

    Specifics
All pacers are expected to maintain steady pace throughout the race.

    Expo
There will be a "meet the pacers" stall at the Expo, all pacers will be helping man it for a couple of hours on either the Sat/Sun.
