De La Salle and Ballygunner NS are re-opening tomorrow due to improved weather and road conditions. Boys not happy

Just wondering if anyone has heard if they are re opening today. Mount Sion Primary in particular. I know they said on WLR last night both primary and secondary are open but they also said they can change if need be too. Thanks

Following the Minister's announcement about all schools to close until Thursday 14th next, Does this mean the city schools will close whether or not the weather is as bad as they say it's going to get next week... a few of the junior schools were open yesterday and today...

Yep. All schools closed. Up to today, individual schools were making the decisions.

Didn't hear the interview or know anybody in the school or anything about frozen pipes... but maybe they were trying to solve the problem before hastily closing the school? My mammy's a principal and was so stressed about the open/close decision for Thursday. It's not a small thing to just close the school in the morning when parents have to work etc. She decided to open and lucklily all was fine...though a few teachers had 4 kids out of 20!!!

Schools back tomorrow if its considered safe locally, according to media.

I'm just waiting on the text messages from the schools my boys attend. I'm sure they'll be in.

Anyone know if St. Declan's (at the park) is open or closed. No mention on WLR or on the schools webpage. It was the same last week they were one of the last to inform us.

Got the text message from De La Salle, no school tomorrow and tomorrow they'll decide on Wednesday.

Haven't had a text from Ballygunner and it's normally very quick to text info.
