Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Importing (restoring) backed up Thunderbird e-mails, with a twist

    Hi guys,
We have 2 PC's here, each of which had seperate email accounts using Thunderbird.

One PC went bang, so I setup the one machine with the 2 email accounts using Thunderbird.... that's fine and plenty of emails coming in since.

Now, I backed up the "Application Data" folder of Thunderbird, so have all emails from the PC that went bang (They're important)

Now, the question is... how do I integrate these emails onto the new machine? I realise if I had a 'fresh' copy of Thunderbird (ie. no emails on it hence no data files) I could probably just copy and paste them into the "application data" folder of the Thunderbird folder on the new machine, but there's already emails there.

I presume if I copy the files from the old machine onto the new machine the following will happen:
    1) There will be a name conflict (files will have the same name)
    2) They won't integrate

A bit of an odd question I know, but if anyone has any ideas i'd be greatful. Google isin't being helpful, but I feel that's my own fault as I can't seem to find the right keywords to search.

    Many thanks!
