Paying tax on property in China

    Hi I have a property in China. I recieve rental income once a year (Just recently received some). Just wondering am I best going to a specialised tax consultant or will any tax consultant do?

    If you only want Irish tax advice, anyone familiar with overseas rental income will be able to help you.

    I assume you are declaring this income in China, and have copies of your Chinese tax returns (and translations) available, as these will be required if you are claiming any foreign tax credit reliefs in Ireland.

    Yeah I get a Financial statement each year in English. I am paying tax in China. So you reckon most tax consultants will be ok? Thanks for your reply

    Tax Consultant should be able to advise if there's a Double Taxation agreement in place. If so you're good to go.
