htc hd 2 and meteor wap/gprs settings

i'm looking for the instructions how to setup data/wap setting on the new HTC HD2 with meteor bill pay .

That takes you to the O2 settings, you need to scroll down a bit more for the meteor settings

i'm not sure where exactly to go on htc hd2

data connection is giving me 4 options

ADD A NEW MODEM CONNECTION
SETUP MY PROXY SERVER
MANAGE EXISTING CONNECTION

NOT SURE ABOUT NETWORK MANAGEMENT , SHOULD I CHOOSE :
MY ISP OR MY WORK NETWORK ?

not sure about vpn type ipsec/l2tp or pptp?

Have you tried to use the Connection setup to download the settings automatically?

i have . didn't work that's why i need to setup this manual step by step unfortunately

Select MANAGE EXISTING CONNECTION you should have meteor in there, then edit it and change its setting to match those in the link I gave you earlier

You should also download My Mobiler from here http://www.mymobiler.com/ you can then control your HD2 from your PC

Actually I think those settings in that link are out, thinking back I had a problem with the IP address. I'm sure it is data.mymeteor.ie, I found the settings stored in a text file on my PC. Thinkt I got them from the here


Data APN Settings:
Start => Settings => Connections tab => Connections => My ISP
Add a new modem connection
Enter a name for the connection: Meteor Data
Select a modem: Cellular line (GPRS, 3G)
Press Next
Access point name: data.mymeteor.ie
Press Next
User name: my
Password: wap
Domain: (should be left blank)
Press Finish


WAP APN Settings:
Start => Settings => Connections tab => Connections => My ISP
Add a new modem connection
Enter a name for the connection: Meteor WAP
Select a modem: Cellular line (GPRS, 3G)
Press Next
Access point name: wap.mymeteor.ie
Press Next
User name: my
Password: wap
Domain: (should be left blank)
Press Advanced
TCP/IP tab: use specific IP address - 10.85.85.85
Servers tab: use server-assigned addresses
Press OK and then Finish


MMS APN Settings:
Start => Settings => Connections tab => Connections => My Work Network
Add a new modem connection
Enter a name for the connection: MMS
Select a modem: Cellular line (GPRS, 3G)
Press Next
Access point name: mms.mymeteor.ie
Press Next
User name: my
Password: wap
Domain: (should be left blank)
Press Finish
My network connection: manage existing connections
Press General
Enter a name for these settings: My MMS Server
Press OK

hi all

i got this finally working this morning . Tkan you all very much for your help

i have on more question about the mailbox settings. I can send / receive emails but old emails / attchments saved in the folders are not comming up . They are empty ! do you know why ?

Do you mean emails in your inbox that have been already opened/read? Ty IMAP4 instead of POP3

i have a lot of folders with emails and attachments i can see all of these in my outlook but they are not comming up on the phone . i can see folders but they are empty and they should be full of old e-mails etc .
when i clic on tany of the folders it's giving me a massage :

"to create a new massage , tap menu, then tap new "

Ah! I'm with you now. By default it will only sync with your Inbox you have to tell it what other folders you want to sync to in.

I forgot to say, if you want to sync to your older emails set your PC date back to your oldest email then do sync this will pull in all the old emails

Hi there,

I just got my new HD2 and signed up with Meteor bill pay today.
They told me that I should be able to use the internet quite straight away after an hour.

so, normal mobile connection is there but internet is not working.

I tried to follow all the steps as described here but it is still not working.

Could you please let me know how you did manage to get it working???

Meteor still do not provide the setting download for this phone.....
