PVR with freesat and terrestrial

My Dad has been using an old VHS recorder for taping programmes etc for last couple of years. And he is looking for something better now. We have a standard Freesat box under the tv, and we get terrestrial(RTE, etc) off the analog. (freesat box does not give us RTE/TV3) What would the best way to have one solution to to be…

What would the best way to have one solution to to be able to record from freesat, and terrestrial (new digital or analog).
