Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Anyone tried this beer?

I had on in The Abbot's in Cork the other night.
What a full on dark toffee, butterscotch, licorice beer.
The girl behind the bar bet me I couldn't finish a whole one (33cl 9%abv).
I wasn't sure at first but by the end, I was loving it - will definitely be having another.

What puzzles me, though, is that this beer was completely flat, with no head whatsoever but when I looked at reviews on line, people spoke about carbonation and a beige head.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

I'd recommend trying one - if you like your beer strong, dark, sweet, flat, complex and challenging!

Its form the brewers of Saxo and I believe the last wood fired kettle in Europe also the do all the milling and mashing manually!

Sound like you just got a bad bottle, I would bot be surprised if they hand bottle themselves

Saw another one poured and it was the same.
    Maybe a flat batch?
    Nice anyway
