Despite it not feeling as cold as it did last night, do not take a pee outside.

Have a loot at Met Eireanns 'rainfall radar' in animation. It looks like a syringe piercing through north Leitrim and Cavan with a drop squeezing into Meath.

Ah well - we are all stuck in doors - we do what we must to entertain ourselves :D:D

The temperatures have been rising in some of the weather stations during the past hour e.g Oak Park, Johnstown, Newbridge - would there be any particular reason for this.

    LOL :D:D

Kilkenny bucking the trend, was -8.2, now -8.3:D

Precip chart up to 2am. It basically means there will be 1mm of liquid precip in the area outlined between now and 2pm. Showers will start to bubble up along the east and SE coast in the next hour or so. They will become more frequent by 4-5am.
They are likely to be concentrated along the far SE coast and will be light and localised in nature. They will not spread too far inland until later in the morning when winds shift to an easterly direction, thus increasing the threat of showers along the east and NE coast and further inland. Showers are not expected to be heavy in nature but will give a top up for areas with snow already.

Showers tomorrow are most likely going to be heaviest and most frequent over Ulster and the NW.

    3hr-rain.gif

Quick reference to Monday morn, the respected HIRLAM shows widespread precip (snow) early Monday morn
