can anyone help me, recently got a samsung tocco lite and i'm trying to send an email with a pic attached to my email account.

    It keeps repeating "DNS failed"

can anyone tell me what the matter is? Apologies if its a stupid question but i'm really crap at techy stuff as you have already probably gathered.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the settings? What email client are you trying to use?

    cheers for the reply Davy

I'm crap as this kind of thing. What do you mean by client? I thought it was just a case of putting in the email address you want to send it to and then just pressing send????

I want to send it to my own gmail account

Have you setup your gmail account on the phone?

You can use either or really. Just pick one and make sure the settings are ok in the phone.

I went for the POP4 option

    done all you said

now it just comes up "messaged failed" when I try to send an email

I have even connected the Phone to my laptop via the USB i was given. Im then given the option on my phone of selecting a USB mode: 1.Media Player 2.PC studio and 3.Mass Storage

I click Mass storage and my images, sounds and videos pop up on screen of laptop but what I have saved on the phone is not showing on the computer

    Any ideas?

What network are you on? Can you connect to the internet on the phone without problems?

Mass storage is the main memory in the handset, which is the micro SD card inserted in the phone. Think of it as a hard drive not a phone.

Other items saved to the phones memory would be accessed with the pc studio. This can only be small enough amount, where the mass memory could hold thousands of images, music etc.

Double check settings as above, as its most likely the problem
