Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Usually it's an indicator of disk problems (ie the file can't be accurately copied because it can't reliably be read from the disk on which it's currently stored) - schedule chkdsk to run on next boot and scan for/recover bad sectors, this may resolve it but should also give you an idea of what the problem is.

Also worth checking what the disk manufacturer is and checking their site to see if they've got diagnostic/repair tools for your model of disk.

As Fysh points out it's normally a sign of a hard disk issue. One (or more) of the disk blocks used to store the 700MB file on your hard disk may no longer be readable.
