Closure of Kilkee Tourist Office

    Living in West Clare I am totally baffled about this one. Shannon Development are planning to close Kilkee Tourist Office but are leaving Kilrush open. Kilrush has a tiny fraction of the number of tourists of Kilkee. Methinks political pressure has been applied but the decision is so obviously counter to logic it beggars belief. God help us if Shannon Development are the ones we are relying on to get us of this mess.

    Is there not more to stop in Kilrush for.

    Eh....no. There are things to do but the tourist numbers would dictate Kilkee would be the one of the two to stay open. You wouldn't build Tesco in Kilkee so why keep the tourist office open in Kilrush. It is illogical.
