not sure if this is the correct place for this, but here goes.
I play in a 5 piece rock covers band, we are trying to expand and get more gigs in other counties. We cover u2, chilies, Thin lizzy, KOL...... usual pub list really. would be a great help, thanks!

Try: Fiddlers Creek. The Garavogue. The Clarence. McGarrigles (more originals than covers). The Strand Bar, The Leitrim Bar for starters. Call them...prb need to meet booking managers...send set list/demo/press cuttings or whatever you have. Not great money in pub gigs nowadays...

You might get some joy from student unions around the country..worth a try..best of luck.

Quattro and Emmetts in Ballina are good for having bands in most nights of the week

Fureys on Bridge Street, Sligo have weekly gigs. Set the owner a set list, cd and other info and I am sure he will get back.

Garavogue have bands (mainly cover ones) playing most Friday nights. Website: http://www.garavogue.ie

Haven't heard of many cover bands playing the Clarence, mainly original ones or else sepcific artist ones (eg. all MJ/Smiths etc. for tribute nights) but its still worth a shot. Could get a support gig for another band: Check out their Facebook page for contact (The Clarence, Sligo).

Why don't you try The Garavogue frank. A lot of bands play there. Was at the Oddsocks Revival gig there last week. They always look for supports on the night.
