Just had a few flakes in Terenure. Nothing worth wearing the carpet out for between the PC and the window.

I'm in Cork at the moment, but I live in Terenure when I'm in Dublin. No snow in (west) Cork at all, gutted I'm missing the spectacle in the capital!

Despite living on a north easterly slope, we are getting nothing in cabinteely. It'll be a slush-fest tomorrow. Ho- hum:(.

Exactly SA, the poor man is under immense pressure from all angles. Some telling him to ramp it, some telling him to downplay it, depending on the business/government agency etc. There's a lot of money at stake. I'm sure 90% of the country was watching that forecast and he knows it. And he personally would be the one that will be remembered for it if he gets it wrong.

Definitely the same forecast as given after the six o'clock news.

ahhh finally the snow is on its way:D

just outside dungarvan and apart from some severe frost and a little dusting of snow this morning we have escaped the worst of it, much to the dissapointment of the kids. but it looks as though the kids could have their wish tomorrow.

must say looking forward to it myself i like the scenery when its snow covered. we went down to the mahon falls last saturday it was beautifull down there and despite warnings on the radio the place was packed.

Had between 1/2 and 3/4 an inch in rathfarnham since about 6.

    Still comind down.

I predict complete and brutal chaos if the event actully comes off on top of the stuff we have/continue to get before the 'event'.

RTE have to say it as it is. Peoples lifes are at stake.

True, its part of their job to inform warn people etc, from my take on weather reports, RTE seem to be choosing words carefully, imagine what it would be like if RTE said, massive amounts of snow over the next few day, you wont be able to leave house and so on. Saying something like that would cause widespread panic, roads are bad enough without entire country rushing around buying food, calling into relatives etc.

Places like UK etc can emphasize Irish weather more, different country.

That's how I see it anyway. Hope big snow does come, motocross bike is ready to go out in the snow.
