Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rooney and Valencia should have scored there in the last 3 minutes. Come on lads, keep the pressure up!!!

Great play from Rooney. He's nicked it off Carr twice now.

Are united players not allowed touch birmingham players?

Evra got a foul for being hassled by a birmingham player in the first few minutes, Rooney does similar to Carr and birmingham get nothing..

Rooneys passing has been awful for some time now, whats up with him...

Birmingham's game plan should be simple - don't let Rooney have the ball. United haven't much creativity on the pitch besides him

Birmingham must be a nightmare to play against.
Fair play to them, they've stuck to it this season.
It's hard to see anything but a 0-0 from this game.

Absolutely correct. Rooney should have shot direct from that one.

I think the guy is a good player.

He just never gets a run in the team in fairness.

    Very unlucky with injuries also.

How Scholes got away with that kick on Benitez is beyond me, nowhere near the ball (as usual I know) and straight through his leg.

    Park = Useless

Anything higher than 2 on the Beaufort scale and park gets blown around the pitch.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,442 ✭✭✭Bandit12

This referee is pathetic. Not a sign of fairness

Agreed, is often a waste of a free kick allowing the wall to run forward at you, decreasing the time/distance you have to get it over the wall

He sure is poor, a completely frustrating player to watch. Hate seeing him on the teamsheet.

Its normally shifted so you can get it around the wall rather than over it.

good timing of goal for City after soaking up a lot of pressure.

Scrappy but a composed finish from Jerome, he could have taken another five mins on it though :)

but it usually just means the ball is closed down and whacks the defender and goes back somewhere near the halfway line.

I don't know why Rooney just didn't shoot, he's shown in the past that he can score direct free kicks from that kind of area.

    Awful awful awful.
    Terrible defending and goalkeeping.
Thats a result now. 1-0 to Birmingham, may as well finish up now before the snow starts.

Going to be very tough for United now.

Birmingham are tough to break down at the best of times, and now they have a goal to cling too.

Ferguson really needs to take a proper look at this United side, devoid of spark. My freaking arse there are not players around who could improve this side.

its not just that though, he doesnt like to overpay for players either.

United might not have conceded there with zonal marking.;)

True. Against well organised teams it seems to rarely work. There are always chargers. I'd like to think that it can be made to work though.

How can United not be going out to sign players in the window?
We've dominated Birmingham and they get two shots and score with one.
It's time to get some experienced quality players in instead of taking a gamble that some Brazilian teenager might turn out to be a good player.
We're headed for trouble already this season, we should have two strikers on the pitch against Birmingham and not be a goal down.
The goalkeeper situation is a big problem, Kuszczak doesn't seem to be up to it.

Just reading the first few pages of this thread. Who is Diouf?? A new signing or someone from the reserves?
