Has anyone seen any Nissan Stagea imports in ireland or else tried to import one themselves?

I'm considering getting a 2001 model from japan but am a little worried at never having seen one in ireland and what that will mean for me?

    Anybody?

Personally I wouldn't like to be the only owner of a certain model.... does it share parts with other Nissan cars at all? If it does then it wouldn't bother me too much really.

I know someone in Wexford who has one. It's like a very fast 4WD hearse :D

Not so worried about import VRT, will cost a few quid but happy to pay it.

I suppose I'll get r*ped on insurance though? Anyone who has imported skylines or hot wagons from Japan had problems on this front?

I've only ever seen 1 of them here about a year ago with the R34 front end conversion. Are you looking at the 2.0 na or 2.5 turbo?

    This of any interest?

I think there's something like this floating around South County Dublin.

Good to see there's at least 1 on the island. I'd be looking at getting a 2.5 turbo, post 2001 model direct from Japan...

I own this one since 2008. I think I may be the one referred to in the thread above as it's in Wexford.

I have spotted a black one around Kilkenny.

Mine was imported from Japan through the UK. 1997 model Series 1 4WD Single Turbo. Very comfortable car.

P.S. a lot of the parts are interchangeable with the R33 Skyline GTS. But some of the suspension parts are Stagea only.
I am not sure about the 2001 models though.

I'm a big fan of the Stagea myself, in fact I may be looking for one when I'm changing from my 200sx:)

The R34 fronted one is sweet....

When I purchased mine it had been lowered with Tein suspension. It was too low for the disgraceful potholes/craters on Irish roads so I contacted the guy in Japan and got the original suspension shipped over and put it back into it. I'm now using it for surfing trips. :)

I would like to know how many Stagea's there are in Ireland. They seem to be very rare here.

Where/How would I find that out?
