Dead forums?

What's the criteria for and how do dead forums get 'retired'? Is it just from user suggestions and Admins then making a decision on it? Is it more-or-less a case of switching them off from the drop-down menus?

Unloved forums don't get retired as such, they get moved to the "inactive" category. There's no real criteria for moving them tbh, it's just when someone notices the lack of activity in a forum and mentions it to an admin. A decision will then be made on whether to leave it active or move it to inactive. Have you one in mind or is this just a general query?
