VW Passat Cat Light

Catalytic converter light came on today on my VW Passat, 06D and 50k Kms. Manual says drive slowly to your dealer!!! Anyone know if it is that serious, does it mean the cat is knackered?

You will need to get the fault(s) read either with the dealer or a
good independent garage who have vag diagnostics or equivalent.
it may only be a sensor but will need a diagnostic plugin to find out....:)

Ya mechanic reset warning light as you suggested, Must admit VW Passat is getting on my nerves, too many niggly problems.

exact same problem here too, same spec motor. hope that it's not serious, nct in Feb ! Zoikes !!!!!!!!!!!
