Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,
I can't find my disk that I got with the camera that has the EOS viewer software on it. I know it was not available online, but does anyone know if this changed?

So I am in need of a similar software that will work on Mac?
I want the pictures to appear on the screen straight away after taking the shot and then have them saved to the hard drive which will eliminate the need of a CF card.

    Thanks in advance,
    Padraig

I think iPhoto should be able to do that for you.

I have used iphoto before but never found that feature on it. Are you sure?
I want the picture straight away after I press the shutter.

Ah, sorry, I completely misread that.

Have you scouted around the Canon website for a download of the software?

Also, I think you're still going to need the CF card in the camera to do it - I think!

The CF part doesn't really matter, its the fact that you have the large display and see the photo on the large screen straight away that I want.

I have searched Canon from top to bottom and can only find updates.

Thanks for that I dislike iphoto but if there is nothing better it will do the job.

I don't like/use it myself at all, but if you were stuck/in a rush to do it, it'd be better than nothing - Canon don't seem to send out new CDs. I wonder if there are any other Kerrymen with 400D's on Boards though...

    OP,

Is the software you require the original Canon software from the CD?

    Digital Photo Professional
    EOS Utility
    Image Browser
    Picture Style editor
    Zoombrowser EX

If you contact Canon and provide them with proof of ownership for your DSLR they should be able to provide you with a url to download the software image.

Yes it should have come with the camera as far as I know but I can't find my CD.

    I will call Canon tomorrow.

Not sure if its an option for you but you are able to download it from the usual illegal sources. If you don't know any of these you're better off just calling Canon.

I would rather not do it that way.
1.I don't have a program to do it.
    2.I really don't want a virus.
3.I would prefer to get it the legit way.

Aperture 3 can do tethered shooting. I have discs which came with 550D. If you want I can send you duplicates. I work on Mac.
