Word is ... the schools might be open on Tuesday :( In fact, the way it's going we'd be lucky to have tomorrow off!

Yes, despite a slow rise in temps during this coming week, temps are likely to remain below average, an average which is cool at the best of times ( 61-90 Jan averages: 7c/8c by day and 0c /+2c by night). Daytime maxima this coming week will average more like 3c to 5c, which is still very cool for the time of year, but warmer than at present.

and there will be no major range between temperatures during night and day because it will likely be cloudy a lot of time

I've never seen such negativity in here.

A little bit of positive attitude in this forum wouldn't go astray.

we are still on the brink. There is still a good chance we will get a decent fall tonight and/or Tuesday. Personally, I also believe if this gets going it might also run through tomorrow. These things have a habit of not stopping once they get going.

And what do you base this on? Its currently 5c here with a major thaw on, i find it hard to believe it'll be snowing in over an hour.
