I think the recent drop in temps here (SE Dublin) has to do with the wind shifting from the NE to E...I'm expecting sleet here though as I am on an exposed coast...

There should be snow in carlow.
    Don't worry about that.
It's up to 20km's inland from the East coast that will see rain/sleet with snow on the higher ground a few miles inland

My dp just on the coast here is stuck around -1c but i feel that won't be enough for snow here given the surface drift in off the sea.

Out of interest, i'm in Sandyford towards the foot of the mountains. we're 10k from the coast due east. But we are 6k if you come from the NE as dublin bay comes in- if you understand me. Would We be too close to the sea to see no snow? (lots of s's)

    Cheers

    That too!

Back on topic, it's weird seeing water dripping off window sills here. Very welcome though, I was getting fed up with the snow. I just hope all that melted snow doesn't turn to ice now.

Sleet in Waterford now and there seems to a bit of a thaw as the earlier stuff is melting on the cars and roofs of houses

Snow shower starting here, sky has gone completely dark, Temp is 1.9 and dp is 0.5. Wasn't much of a thaw this morning, car still covered.

Very light snow here for the last half hour, so light you could nearly count the flakes!!! Not having any effects on depth really.

    0.3/0.0 atm here.

I'd be thinking it could and should snow there.
The whole thing is even more borderline than I was hoping.
My temp is dropping but my dp is rising.

The sky giveth and the sky taketh away.

It depends on where you are in sandyford.
More chance on blackglen road than brewery road for example.

Rainy sleet here now. The temperature has held at 1 degree for the last hour or so, but seems to be dropping slightly on my station.
