few flakes blowing around in the wind at the moment, not big flakes though. The band seems to be going north until Galway bay and then start to track west after.

Hope everybody in Cork is getting some snow. Just spent the last hour down by the Lee Fields, lots of snow falling and families out enjoying the fun. Wonderful. On the way home now, hopefully it's the same there.

    We're besides Lambs Cross.

When you say Temp dropping and DP rising- what does that actually mean?

a quick crash course!! i've spents easily 100 hours reading this thread i should know!:pac:
For safe snow your dewpoint temperature must be below zero.
Currently here it's up to minus 0.4c.
It was -1.3c an hour ago.

We now have a light rain snow mix here mostly rain.

Yes if you had the conditions I have here at say brewery road,I'd expect full snow at lamb doyles..if that helps.
Not saying it will but it's what I'd expect.

air temp has dropped to 2.3c

Snow still present in Offaly, not snowing any more but the stiff that is here shows no sign of going.

Every time I put out bread and scraps for birds it snows and covers it, so I am heading out now with a full loaf, lets see it cover that (hopefully)

Latest news from sky says that south england can expect 5cm instead of 20 cm so does this mean we're getting more or is it irrelavent.

Wayhay snow in Cork! (South of Ballincollig/West of B'town) Was disappointed when I got up this morning as there was nothing. Then teeny tiny flakes started earlier around 12 noon. Maybe an inch or two now (not going out to measure-its freeeezing out there!) Its v soft snow (and still tiny flakes) so I'd say not good for snowmen but at least its something! Happy snow day :D

Lashing rain now in Waterford. Temperature a steady 1.3

I've no dewpoint for Waterford but it looks like we had our fun this morning

Still... We got snow. We can get snow. Its possible that it could snow in Waterford. We... are snowy people.

Thats what happens though, when the air temp drops the dewpoint inevitably rises.

2.3/-0.4c isn't a bad stat for your location at peak temperature time.
