Disposing of christmas tree?

    What's the story with getting rid of the old tree, in the Ballina area? - is there any pick-up services?! It's shedding a lot at the moment and don't fancy putting it in my or the wife's car!

    Mayo County Council has made arrangements for the recycling of Christmas Trees after the Christmas Season. Any person who wishes to avail of this free service is invited to deposit their used Christmas Tree at any of the following locations between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. until Friday 15th January, 2010.

    * Achill - Beside the Bottle Banks at Keel.
    * Ballina - Reception area at Rathroeen, Landfill Site, Killala Road (Ballina Facility closes at 3pm on Saturday)
    * Ballinrobe - Mayo County Council area office, Kilmaine Road.
    * Ballyhaunis - Beside Bottle Banks in the Car Park, Ballyhaunis.
    * Belmullet - Council Office Car-Park, Church Road, Belmullet.
    * Castlebar - Rear of Mayo County Council Machinery yard, Moneen,
    * Claremorris - Depot adjacent to Council Building at Kilcolman Rd., Claremorris.
    * Kiltimagh - Council Depot, Kilcun, Kiltimagh.
    * Louisburgh - Car Park, Chapel Street, Louisburgh.
    * Newport - Recycling Centre at Derrinumera Landfill Site.
    * Swinford - Mayo County Council Pound, Kilkelly Road, Swinford.
    * Westport - Westport Pound, Ballinrobe Road, Westport.
