The most epic snowfalls in my lifetime have always started out as rain. And you know what they say... "History has a habit of repeating itself" :)

This is very much falling as rain in Sandyford. Very dark out. Not expecting any snow.

I hope you are seeing something S.A. Amazingly, you are good a predicting snow, yet you never tell us if you are getting any snow?

    Hi DE,

Not seeing any snowfall today, down in Waterford where it is raining, but I'm sure there is sleet/snow back up in Kilkenny, especially on the reports from here. Saw plenty though over the past few days, absolute loads & was fantastic.

    SA :)

tallaght = more rainy than sleet....as the eagle said on the radio this morning if it is snow then it will be the wet sleety type we are used to not the powdery stuff we got.

Snow getting heavy enough here now to make little splatty noises as they hit the kitchen window. Swirling around like mad out there but nothing lying.

  • Registered Users Posts: 699 ✭✭✭glossy

    :( gone back to sleet

temp dropped fro 3.4 to 2.1 in 30 mins after arrival of precip! i cant say i understand the logic to that tho, with a front coming from the south....i just have to re read MT Craniums great summaries i guess.

Sleaty snow sticking in carlow town, just due to the sheer amount being deposited.
