Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

PC wont play CD Roms but will play DVD's / CD's

Hey folks, as the titles suggest my PC wont play games / CD roms. I did reinstall windows from a genuine CD about 3 months ago. DVD's and CD's play fine, but when I try to install a game, it wont read it. The disk cog does show up on the pointer itself as if it is reading the CD, but when I click "My computer" it loads for…

Hey folks, as the titles suggest my PC wont play games / CD roms. I did reinstall windows from a genuine CD about 3 months ago. DVD's and CD's play fine, but when I try to install a game, it wont read it. The disk cog does show up on the pointer itself as if it is reading the CD, but when I click "My computer" it loads for ages and the screen stays white.

Any ideas?

cds are read by a separate laser to the dvds, so there's a good chance that this is broken. doubt it's worth repairing it probably best to buy a new one.

make sure you know which interface you use IDE or SATA
