Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

driving to work this morning the revs on the car just stuck around 2000 revs.

even with the foot off the accelerator.

when i put the foot down the revs dropped to about 1000 then just shot up to around 6000 and came back down to 2000.

then when slowing down the car cut out and wouldnt start again. everytime i turned the key it would just about try to start. starter motor seems fine but it was if there was no petrol to spark up

its as if the throttle cable is loose but it seems fine on inspection

    its an audi a4 b5

    thanks in advance

    Rev meter problem?

My cousin used to have an A3 which the rev meter get stuck around 2.5K on idle. his meter don't drop and then go up. His is just per normal as in an offset.

In anycase you'll know by the sound of the rev coming from the engine whether the display is showing the actual rev (More or less)

    Hope that help a bit

Could be a number of things. One thing that springs to mind could be blocked fuel filter.

revs definitely match up with engine anyway. its not just an offset

ill get it to a mechanic and see what they have to say
