Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Recommendations for Child minders

    Folks

anyone got any recommendations for (obviously excellent) child minders in the Drumcondra area. Ideally a mother or childcare professional who can look after a 1.5 and 4 year old in our home, collecting the latter from school. we're considering taking the young one out of creche and pulling back on day care for the older one and consider in-home child minding the best option.

    Thanks in advance.

I recommend contacting your local Childcare Committee, they should be able to provide a list of childminders in your area though most of them would work in their own home but with the way the recession is there may be some who would work in the family's home.

Just in case you're not aware of it if you have someone coming into your home to mind your children you are legally obliged to register as an employer with the revenue and are liable for holiday pay, prsi, must pay at least minimum wage, insurance etc I've heard of cases where families found themselves in trouble with the revenue for not doing this and ignorance of this was no defence.
