So, where is the best place to park around the courthouse if you've been called for jury service?
Is there a free parking facility?
    Is there free parking nearby?

I doubt that they'd allow you park there for the first day of the sessions.
There could be 60/80 or more people called for selection - add in Guards, Prison Vans, Solicitors, Defendants and Injured Parties/Witnesses and the carpark there starts to get very small!!!
If you are selected, then once the sessions proper get under way you might possibly be ok but I wouldn't try it the first day. You could end up driving around for ages looking for a space as the whole area will probably be busy.

tbh ive never seen it that full.plenty of car parks around anyway, one in millers marsh, one in william street.ya can park on waterside but its also pay and display.not many places around town would be free to park until after 6pm

Millers Marsh (the big one beside Storm Cinema), within easy walking distance, would cost €3.60 for the whole day. Others charge per hour, with council/street parking tending to have a 2 hour limit.

The underground carpark, near storm cinema, is only €2.50 for the day.

Probably because they won't leave all of the aforementioned people park there!!! :)

They dont do anything in the way of permits for people on jury service but if you do get a ticket they tell you to bring it in to the guard on duty in the court house straightaway and he will get it quashed because you were on jury duty . There is definitely no parking in the grounds of the courthouse itself on jury selection days ,they will have a bloke on the gate directing people to nearby parking .

I was called for the Jury a few months ago(wasn't selected) and had no trouble parking in the courthouse. Had to go along about 5 or 6 times over the space of two weeks and each time I was let in with no bother. Just get there early, as others have said it's a small enough car park.
