Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I need some help diagnosing an issue I have with a Sony Vaio laptop. When I power it up, the screen flickers and then goes dark when I get to logon screen, work fine when connected to a monitor. When I close down the lid and open it up again, it is visible again for a few seconds before going dark again. The same things happens every time I logon.

Is this a faulty ccfl issue or something else. I cannot see anything on the screen even with a torch as I would with a faulty inverter. I would've thought it the ccfl was faulty I would never see the screen.

    any thoughts

I would be suspicious that it may be more than the CCFL because you mention "cannot see anything on the screen even with a torch as I would with a faulty inverter."

it is difficult to know without swapping out the CCFL. Of course no one wants to fork out for a CCFL until sure that it's definately at fault.

    Best of luck
