Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

zainabc - Yeah, I removed the name, number and link you put in. Naming and shaming in cases like this might harm your case as well as placing this site in dodgy legal territory.

Chances are, this guy aint SIMI if he doesn't even give reciepts.

Don't go to the Gardai, they'll just tell you what you've been told here. Its a civil matter, go to a solicitor or the small claims court if you're trying for your money back.

It is a criminal offense AFAIK to repair crashed cars to a sub standard and knowingly sell it.

I would definitely be of the view that this would be the case.
I don't know what part of Dublin you are in but you could seek some free legal advice on the matter from your local Citizens Information Centre.
The link below is a directory page of all the centres in Dublin so you could select one near you and see what they have to say on the matter.

    http://findaddress.citizensinformation.ie/service_finder/query.py?category=Citizens%20Information%20Centres&county=Dublin

Maybe this can be of some help to you.

If he comes up with a swap or a refund make sure to get your next car checked out by a competent mechanic and always buy on the premise that it will be NCT'd or if not that it will pass and they'll cover any work required. Get it all in writing too

Would the dealers surname begin with “M”?

Curiosity is a terrible thing! :)

(hopefully its ok to ask this, not looking to break any rules)
