I was surprised it was under tv, I thought it would end up being more a games related forum but then I guess it covers a few different media so it's hard to say yet.

It's not just 10-12 year olds who like Pokémon you know, the games are good fun and deep enough to have universal appeal.

No, but if I let my 10 year old browse the Pokemon forum should she be exposed to threads like this?

In truth it has little to do with Pokemon and would be better suited to AH maybe. I would consider reporting it but while we await a charter I suppose that'd not necessarily be a proper course of action.

Anyhow, I appreciate your taking the time with me, I suppose I really want to know is there consideration of children in the set up..............

Now that I don't know. The forum was only set up last night and as you say there're no mods or charter yet so I'd wait and see. I wonder how similar things are handled on the general games/Nintendo forums where there would also be a wide range of ages posting about a topic of interest to kids?

Edit: Judging by the Nintendo forum charter my guess is it would probably be removed once there are dedicated mods

It's the internet, I wouldn't really go about getting 10 year olds signed up to any forum if I were you.
As adults will be talking and using this part of Boards.ie I can only imagine there will be no additional child related measures in place.

Congrats on getting it set up lads, now the hard part is, keeping people using it. I do find it's placement in TV a little odd as it began as a game, and that is mainly where it continues to flourish, but who cares? It's here!
