Such a facebook stalker me... CCL (and Chet!) and eimsRV your babies are absolutely gorgeous, cannot wait to meet them!

Thanks Adrieanne - Addison is beautiful too! FB great for "researching" so we can identify each other next week!

Any baby boys coming along? Seems to be alot of girls around! Was at the docs yesterday to get mmr for Alannah and there were 5 other baby girls and 1 baby boy! Gonna be a boyfriend shortage for them in yrs to come?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,862 ✭✭✭✭January

I think you could be right, I know of 6 babies born in the past fortnight and everyone of them were girls :O

We're having a girl too, could be stiff competition for her in a few years to come. That'll suit her dad nicely, less potential boyfriends to warn off :D

Just added the above facebookers, you'll know its me by the car in my profile pic (matches my username here) :)

I've just been baby spotting too! You's all have cute babies! Ireland is gonna be populated by some gorgeous girls in the future! I like that theres not many boys cos my little lady isn't allowed talk to boys until she's 30! Although I do believe the little fella up the road has his eye on her already ;)

Ladies i'm thinking of joining you on saturday but we've had a bereavment in the family... my husbands SIL who i'm very close to had twins 2 weeks ago tomorrow.. jamie and sam, they we're born at 23+3 and jamie died at 9 mins old and Sam died today.. we're all devastated it's been a horrible 2 weeks with ups and down as he fought so hard to survive, I can't stop crying cos every time i look at Ben i know how i would feel if anything happened to him.

so i'm not sure when the funeral is but if i can make it i'll be there, i'll have to get my husband to drive me i'm terrified to drive in the city
Anyway here's my facebook link if anyone would like it..

I suggest you pick a toy and have it on the table, something which you are likely to have a long with you, and stick it in the centre of one of the tables.

    cybrd - that is awful
It really makes us appreciate how lucky we are.

thanks your comments mean a lot... we went over to see them yesterday and Sam is so tiny.. he's all dressed up in the tiniest clothes you've ever seen they wouldn't fit a doll, a tiny coffin placed in his moses basket with his teddies all around him... they've got both babies record books and pictures of them on a little table beside him and videos that they'd taken of sam during his 13 days... It would just break your heart, i'm so upset cos we'd been pregnant at the same time and we were supposed to be swapping baby clothes and tips... all she keeps saying is it's not fair, and its not.:( she's only seen Ben once and cos i'm breastfeeding i'm not going to the funeral, i don't think either she or I could handle it.:(:( I know i probably shouldn't post this here but she's the one i talk to about all this baby stuff and posting here aswell, it's stuff the men don't get, i have no idea what to do or say to her cos my baby is 4 weeks old and hers will never be, It's just breaking my heart.

Easier said than done but be careful that you don't miss out on the enjoyment of your baby out of guilt.

CCL and my sister in law got pregnant at the same time but she lost her baby, we spent alot of time trying not to enjoy our pregnancy for her sake which now that i look back on it didn't do anyone any use anyway

Sorry folks I'm going to have to give tomorrow a miss. Hubbie has to go to Cork tomorrow and I wouldn't be able for the 2 hour drive to Dublin myself tomorrow.
The half an hour drive home from work has me beat at the moment. I know, lightweight!

I'm disappointed because I think it'd be great to put faces to names. Hope y'all have a great day tomorrow ;)

Cathy and myself had a great time- I think she is slightly less terrified of babies now- another 11 weeks to go, and we're about to start our antenatal classes on Monday week..... Hope to see you all again.

She was a little dote- I was slightly terrified she was going to hit her head off the table, and she loved little Moonbeam too. We couldn't get over how peaceful little Moonbeam was- I hope our little one takes after her. Just feeding my little cookie monster at the moment, I think she has decided she wants sardines and mayonaisse next  Oh well- at least its good for her.

Haha i just wish she was as easy going then little Moonbeam, but i guess since she was a year older than most of them she get's up to alot more mischief or atleast its my excuse :p

Once she's eating thats the main thing, and we can all see baby and her are well looked after

Hey at least your little one doesn't try to "bum" away at the slightest opportunity!

Sardines and mayonaise.. now there's an interesting combination!

Bummed I couldn't make it now. Sounds like you all had a good time. Running around like a headless chicken here at the moment. 3 really is a big leap up from 2.

    Anyone got pics?

Believe it or not... I had my camera but forgot to take pics :( my daughter was too busy walking rings around me, literally! Besides that and us getting told off by a manager in Debenhams for having our buggies in the way of people, whoops!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,320 ✭✭✭Chet T16

We had a camera too but never even thought to take pics!

Great to meet everyone and the crazy babies :D

Lovely to meet ye all and your lil ones and bumps! All in all they were all very well behaved! Thought it was strange about them giving out about the buggies, thought they'd be baby friendly! Alannah is exhausted, she went to sleep earlier with no fuss!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,862 ✭✭✭✭January

Alannah is so cute, such a good baby, along with little Moonbeam, both very well behaved and no screeching from either that I seen! Was lovely meeting you :D
