    If there's no financial incentive to take the Grande Punto then why doesn't he just get the Evo?

    The Punto Evo will just be an extra model in the Punto range, the Grande Punto will still be on sold along side it.

    I'm not directly involved but from what I can tell the salesman is employing the usual technique of being vague regarding exact price and availability of the Evo and crystal clear where the Grande Punto is concerned. I'm suspicious because before Christmas the Evo was the only option as far as the salesman was concerned. The father in law might be assuming more goodwill on the part of the salesman than might actually be the case.

    Thanks - that's interesting because the salesman was calling the Evo the Grande Punto replacement before Christmas and persuaded the father in law to hold out for the new model but is now saying that its not a replacement.
