Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Subject: Emergency Announcement for Broadcast

The BAI have been asked by the Emergency Co-ordination Committee to issue the following announcement for stations to broadcast on all news bulletins today (Tues 12th ) and Tomorrow (Wed 13th ).

The following is a public service announcement from your local authority via the Emergency Co-ordination Committee

Due to critical water supply levels users of public water schemes are urged to conserve water as much as possible.

Saving water at this time will prevent reduction in water pressure and water being cut off.

    [etc.]

Only in Ireland. Floods everywhere and they're retricting water.

    You couldn't make it up.

How do you get melted snow into reservoirs?

To be fair it hasn't been raining alot lately and people have been leaving taps on for days.

Being in an area with water restrictions, there are no floods here but a shortage of treated water. Blamed on unusually high usage.

Do you have any idea why there's no water left ? These sort of nonsensical statements are being thrown around all over the place.

Guys I believe that the OP was wondering about the procedure of emergency announcements on radio and the water shortage was given as an example, seeing as this is the Radio forum, could things get back on topic please.
